Skiing in Limone

the Alpine ski resort that's ascending to the top

One of Italy's most established ski resorts, Limone's lengthy tradition of skiing stretches back over 100 years. Recently, over ¤29 million has been invested to bring Limone up to the most modern standards of Alpine resorts - extensively upgrading its ski lifts, snow cannons and pistes.

Limone’s ski region, known as the Riserva Bianca, offers over 80km of skiing, including 46 slopes, the longest of which runs for 6km. Riserva Bianca’s superb selection of pistes are graded as 13% suitable for beginners, 69% ideal for intermediates and 18% demanding enough for experienced skiers. For the cross-country enthusiasts among you, there is a variety of spectacular tracks. There are also scenic side valleys providing panoramic snow-shoe walks. Transporting you to the ski slopes are a cable car and 14 ski lifts.

Limone’s ski season extends from December to April with plenty of skilled tuition and a deep knowledge of the local slopes from the ski school, which provides 100 fully qualified instructors offering group and individual lessons.

You can be assured of the quality of the ski pistes. In 2006, both the French and Italian national ski teams trained at the Riserva Bianca, while one of Italy’s most celebrated skiers said of the slopes... “Limone offers extraordinary runs, which can easily compare with first-class resorts such as Val d’Isère.” Isolde Kostner, Olympic and World Cup champion skier, (www.riservabianca.it).
